How to get to Wollombi in the Hunter Valley 

From Sydney

Take the Pacific Highway heading north to Wahroonga and join the M1 Freeway to Newcastle, drive for about 20 minutes on the M1, over the Hawkesbury River and past the Mount White turn off and the Heavy Vehicle Weighing Station and leave the M1 at the Calga Interchange, the sign will read Calga, Peats Ridge and Tourist Route 33.
Follow Peats Ridge Road, the sign reads Peats Ridge 13km and Wollombi 67km, just after Peats Ridge bear left onto George Downs Drive and follow sign to Wollombi, through Central Mangrove, Kulnura, Bucketty, at the St Albans turnoff at Bucketty the road changes its name to Great North Road go straight ahead. Continue on to Laguna and then Wollombi, this should take about 1 Hour from the M1.

From Newcastle and North

Take the New England Highway and follow the signs to Cessnock.

At Cessnock follow the signs to Wollombi.
